Air Mattress Points to Consider

* The size of the air mattress – this is important as if you get a small one you will end up squeezed and uncomfortable in the end. One should always pick a larger version over a smaller one; extra space is always welcome.

* The way you will be inflating the air mattress – some mattresses come with in built inflating systems which are a lot easier to use and get the mattress ready in a matter of minutes and should your mattress not come with such a system there is a vast choice available on the market to choose from as well.

* The usage of the air mattress – if you intend to use it for camping you need to get the measurements of the tent in order to get the right size. Also if size is not an issue, do you need a single or double as using a single mattress for two people can prove to be very uncomfortable. Another issue you need to consider for a camping mattress is the way you will be inflating it as you will not have power supply readily available. There are some with an inbuilt inflating system that run from an adapter or AC system which can get power from your car battery or cigarette lighter.

* The amount you are willing to invest on an air mattress – this will narrow your search right from the start and help you choose quicker. Usually comfort wins over budget so most of us end up adding a few dollars to the allotted amount in case we find what we really want and like.
